Outtakes // T.G.I.H #26

With this post of silly outtakes from our weeks of TGIH, I'd like to announce that we're scaling Hannah Fridays down to every other week for a while... things are starting to pile up on this end and we'd like to keep the TGIHs thought-out and creative! In the meantime, enjoy the following snorting laughs, bad hair, machine gun mid-air jumps, mini leg-hiking mammals, ciggie-lighting, mama-wrangling, and best of all, Hannah's famous Jim Carrey dance.

With that, I'm off to Boston until mid next week. Expect some fun posts upon my return, including 2 year old triplets, more promo postcard packs, pillows, and the rest of the delightful ranch wedding I sneak-peeked earlier.

Happy Friday!

Go Go Micaela! // new print work

Micaela Go is a Bay Area-based photographer who recently knocked my socks off with her soulful, engaging portraits, most of which are shot with a polaroid. Each photo is curious and leaves me wanting to know more about the person, to climb into their little world for a moment. She commissioned a Rainbow Multi Pack to exhibit a handful of her photos on promo postcards... they've just arrived!

Scroll through her portfolio at http://micae.la for some serious polaroid eye candy... she also has a book of 181 of her stellar polaroids for sale here which I think would make a perfect gift or coffee table book, don't you? See more of Micaela's cards and other Promo Multi Packs I've designed on my website here and contact me to create a pack for your own budding business or curious obsession...

Like Postcards // new to the shop!

The Spring Fling postcards are doing so well that I'm adding another series for you die-hard (or budding) correspondents out there... remember my contribution to the holiday Aught zine? I chose a few favorites from people's likes (including my vintage cameras, which didn't make the cut before!) for these cuties, adding a detail from the front near the address area. They're great for gifts, for framing, or to kick start your inner pen-pal.

Each parcel comes with 12 postcards in four different designs (3 of each), all inspired by collections of familiar items and the excitement of reaching out to someone you care about. Each is pre-stamped, so all you need to do is scribble a message and address, then leave it for Mr. Mailman. Make the postal pledge
and promise yourself that you will send a mere one postcard a month for a year. Here's your chance...

Another thought... contact me if you'd like your own custom postcard stationery designed!

Fresh * Local * Sustainable ... It's Burgerville, Baby! // a year of portraits #2

You may remember Burgerville's new campaign with my portraits last month, and I'm happy to say that this month's posters are up! For those of you who aren't familiar with Burgerville, they're a Northwest icon, with 39 stores in Oregon and Washington. I've been eating their tasty food since I was a kid, but only recently begun to take notice of their innovative business practices and fresh, locally sourced menu selections. (Think walla walla onions, local berries, asparagus, and more!)

My job is to shoot portraits for their store posters, highlighting two heroes every month: a local foodie and a sustainable partner. Lucy is a local food stylist and Paul is a recycling and sustanability specialist. Both are amazingly talented, wonderful people, and as you can see from the posters, totally game for anything! Try Lucy's tasty inspired dish, the Crispy Onion and Spinach Turkey Burger while it's still available...

Balanced Bites
{ diane }

This gal loves food. Real food. You may remember this good buddy of mine from a couple past photo shoots (one, two)... back in the day in SF, we shared a tiny office together working for a graphic design company. My favorite time of day was 10am, when she would walk in with two deliciously healthy, handmade smoothies of her own creation every single day. Between the smoothies and other snacks and meals, I think I ate better that year than any time in my life!

These days, Diane is the owner of Balanced Bites and is a C.H.E.K. Institute-Certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach. She helps her clients find their way to health and wellness through fresh, real foods, and gives them the knowledge they need to maintain their new lifestyle. She is available for one-on-one consultations, group presentations, and classes on holistic wellness, health, and nutrition. You can check her out on her fantastic blog, twitter, and facebook pages for inspiring advice and mouth-watering photos of her own genius, healthy meals!

Diane let me tag along on one of her fruit/veggie shopping excursions last week... and then I let her chuck apples at me. ;)
