Oh, Man is a Giddy Thing // my bellwether to boston

Before I head off to the farm for a couple weeks of blissful freedom, I wanted to fill you in on some percolating life plans...

Justin and I are moving to western Massachusetts for a full year this coming October! He'll be beginning an agricultural internship at The Farm School, and we will be embracing life in the sticks for twelve delicious months.

With this announcement comes brainstorms of baby goats, fledgling projects, space for running dogs, drawing, singing, embroidery, and generally taking life slow and sweet.
Not to mention the big adjustment known as 'enduring a real winter'. Sigh.

Steep Street will carry on as usual, with a renewed zest for east coast travel and some new projects in the works once the wedding season has come to a close. I can't wait to tell you all about it. Until then, have a wonderful weekend and enjoy a few photos of our new 'hood. (Taken with my darling Zeiss)

Can I be both sad and happy at the same time? Yeah, I think so. =) Can't wait for our October road trip! PS- doesn't that cow look like Bessie?

A COW drinking a BEER! I think it's brilliant! And I was there! He saw it ripe on the tree, he plucked it, and he put it in his pocket. It's, dare I say... genius? Ah, no.. But maybe, ooh! ah! maybe it is! Maybe I'm in the presence of greatness...

Ha! Or it could be Dolly... "I don't care about my dress! I must get the cow out before Rachel Lynde sees her! Alright, Diana, run! Corner her! That's it, Diana! Now, don't frighten her. This is what we've got to do: Maybe if we can get a hold of her we can force her over the fence into our field. Look, you fill the gap. And I'm going to make a run for it, straight toward her. With any luck she'll jump the fence.."
