For my birthday this year, my dad and sis bought me a host of vintage cameras, insistent that I begin a collection. Justin and I have been adding to it already. My favorite so far (which dad was tearful to part with) is the Zeiss Ikon. We snapped a bunch with it in Vancouver BC and the rest around our leafy new neighborhood.... it's fall!
And a few new limited edition Steep Street postcards to admire...
Contact me if you'd like Steep Street to design you your very own own Rainbow Multi Pack....
I just saw the prints from that vintage camera and gasped. Please tell me you printed those yourself! (And then I'll be jealous because I don't have access to a color printer anymore.)
I got the embroidered piece at House of Vintage on hawthorne... its framed and in the hallway now! I love how on the back in scrawly handwriting, it says,
"To Dad From Jerry & Georgene & Elizabeth XMAS 1979"
You MUST go check out their shop... it's like a maze of cheap, vintage deliciousness!
Awesome! Great photos and great collection. This may sound depressing but I don't mean it to be: You guys make me feel like I wasted all my kid free time doing stupid things. I wish I would have spent it being more creative. You definitely give me something to work toward!
Wow, who uses film cameras any more? Especially a true classic like a Zeiss!?? Great stuff... you continue to amaze all of us who are ardent fans of photography and artistic imagery. In amazement, Hauser
where did you get the film developed for that camera? I have a huge collection of vintage camera and I always like to shoot with them when I get them but can't find a palace to get them developed!!
These photographs are amazing, Kelty! I have a love for old cameras that use actual film - when I took photography classes, I don't think many people could conceive of digital work . . . so, if you wanted to experiment with your vintage cameras for our wedding, I'd be totally okay with that . . . I'm just sayin' . . .
Hi Kelty, I love these, so much. Your style rules, just love it. I just recently acquired a pen pal. I know right! we are going to write honest to goodness real live letter, like with a pen. amazing. anyway, I wondered what kind of paper you print on?

capture world's great scenes

love the vogue-y feel and the emo light. I feel like I am witnessing some event, or catharsis. Feels so personal, but not awkward.
