I'm not gonna lie. Moving to the woods this last month, away from friends and family has been a rather rough and lonely transition for me. Then yesterday I got a postcard. Not just any postcard, though. It was from Shola, one of my dearest buddies who not only writes in the most perfect, tiny cursive you've ever seen, but with a zesty, flowery cadence you would never expect to live on a mere piece of paper. Just seeing the wee cursive words made my heart swell three sizes, and let me remember (as cheesy as it sounds) that someone was thinking of me.

Most of you are familiar with my penchant for correspondence and stationery, and I'm happy to give you the opportunity to brighten someone's day as mine was brightened. One year ago, these crazy kids tied the knot. For Hannah and Alex's first anniversary, they asked me to document them in their new space, an eclectic home that reflects their musical talents, world travels, and love of anything vintage. Walking into their house feels like falling into a colorful, inspirational hug and I hope that comes across in this tour. Scroll on to see a vintage tv which now serves as a plant holder and drink caddy, a huge tin toy collection, a refrigerator topped by all of their childhood trophies, a velvet elvis, a bathroom papered with Charley Harper prints, a record collection that spans decades, a china cabinet filled with yards of Missoni fabric, and a bed in a cozy corner of the attic... not to mention some priceless moments with the newlyweds and their ferocious pups, Quimby and Zooey.
