Boticelli.Spectre.Loving.Vintage.Wonderland
Part 1
{ zach & sara }

Who knew that the great frozen tundra to the north could be so welcoming?? Vancouver BC has been beckoning me since my old water polo days, so I leaped at the chance to visit for a session with newlyweds Sara and Zach. Justin and I hopped in his veggie oil truck, pointed North and set out on an adventure. After a delightful tour of their 'hood, Sara and Zach opened their doors to the eclectic, vintage, and cozy apartment they call home. Their collections included panther figurines, velvet paintings, masks, ceramic animals and bullfighters, a huge wall of records, and some sweet classic furniture. Being a tchotchke-lover and clutterer myself, I was in heaven. I wisely decided to pass on seeing Sara's closet for fear I'd want to live inside.... She's a crafter and makes all sorts of lovely goodies including these orange floral couch pillows. Zach put a couple of his Spectres records (his band!) on while we lounged...I would've been happy shooting the entire day right there in the living room!

Part 2 coming up later today!

Divine Providence
{ trang & hoang }

These two absolutely dazzled me. Not only did they make a sleepy morning off a red-eye (my second in a week) delightful, buy me two meals and give me a fantastic tour of their little corner of Rhode Island, but they were one of the classiest, most genuine couples I've had the pleasure of meeting. Scroll on for a small sample of their wedding portraits, some of which will be displayed at their upcoming wedding in Vietnam!

I'm on a roll, friends. Expect 4 posts in 4 days! And look out for a positively spooky TGIH post...

Fridays with Hannah!
{ T.G.I.H #1 }

This is Hannah.

Some of you may know her already.

Since she dropped out of grad school last week, (Hoowee!!!) it's become startlingly apparent that Hannah is back in business as my favorite model and muse. She's game for filling her new free time with all sorts of photo play intended to nurture her near-abandoned creative side, and I'm hoping to branch out with experimental lighting, backdrops, editing styles, and copy-cat flair. The photos below were inspired by W Magazine style shoots... we dig blur and moody lighting. Look forward to a healthy dose of T.G.I.H every week with a new spread of her lovely mug!

Have a great weekend!
