Where the Edges Meet
{ katherine }

Long ago and far away, two goofy girls lived across the hall from one another. They shared laughs, meal cards, and memories. It was amazing to see Katherine again after our freshman year at Stanford... she has blossomed into an even more gorgeous, confident, successful woman than when I first knew her! The photos were a surprise for Mother's Day and I was so happy to help create something to send across the country to a proud mom. Browse on to see the stunning daughter she has raised...

Steep Street: Featured!

Two of my favorite websites for wedding inspiration have featured my photos! The lovely Green Wedding Shoes has covered Paul And Alex's action packed engagement shoot, and RocknRoll Bride has featured Caitlin and Shola's fun and creepy dress shoot! Both sites are amazing resources for DIY brides, artists, and photographers, and they each inspire me daily in different ways. Check them out!

Family Ties
{ margaret & charlotte }
{ trena & thorey }

Just a normal afternoon in our family... aka women everywhere. My gorgeous cousins, sisters Trena and Thorey are two of the most low key, loving and hilarious mothers I've ever seen in action and inspire me more than words can express. Their babies are like mini versions of themselves! You can already tell that Margaret and Charlotte will be fast friends, like we all were growing up... I can still remember our group baths, silly games, and late nights of laughter while all piled in the same bed. I can't wait to see all of our adventures re-enacted with our own baby girls. My face is still hurting from hours of laughing at these wise, wonderful, wickedly funny women.

The Journey is the Destination
{ nick & laine }

One fateful day, this glorious couple made eyes at each other on the bus heading to work. Four years later, Nick proposed to Laine on the train. Needless to say, these kids kinda have a thing for public transportation... and each other! I love spending time with Nick and Laine because they're such a cozy and comfortable pair. Nick is probably the best story-teller I've ever met, can talk to anyone about anything, and is as clutsy/aquatically inclined as I am. Laine is my design idol, a laugh a minute, and I think I could happily live in her closet full of bright colored shoes and cardigans. Both are dear friends with quick wit, big hearts, and no doubt a wonderful journey ahead of them full of even more memorable muni moments.

Shelter Cove
{ alex & paul }

Paul and Alex met in Southern China, moved to San Francisco, and got engaged in the desert in Jordan. They describe their meeting, courtship, and engagement as a very special and surreal experience... In fact, when we first met to take their engagement photos last week, I could practically feel the magic in the air... Which could have had something to do with the fact that they live in a private cove, tucked away in Pacifica! Their rosy little house perched on stilts sits cozily in Shelter Cove, a stone's throw from the water. We spent a delightful afternoon roaming around their "backyard", hiking around the cove, goofing at the house, rolling in the succulents, kicking in the surf, and admiring the views from every direction. Despite the gorgeous atmosphere of the cove, Alex and Paul's obvious love for one another was easily my favorite part of the landscape.
